Because
football is a contact sport, sometimes there are injuries.
We have a three-step injury procedure,
as follows:
Minor
injuries
Treated by one of our trained staff at the club. Medication
will NOT be given to a child without the prior consent
of their parents.
More
serious injury
We
will call FirstMed Centers and
the member will be taken to them for treatment, either
by one of the coaches or the parent. Buda Juniors have
a special agreement with FirstMed. They provide urgent
care to any club members who require medical attention
during one of our training sessions or matches. In the
event that a member needs to visit the clinic at this
time, it will be free of charge, including laboratory
tests and x-rays.
Major
injury
An
ambulance will be called immediately. FirstMed also have
contracted ambulance providers. This is a private service
and will cost money. IT IS NOT covered under the free
treatment offer by FirstMed. Parents should let us know
if they have private insurance cover and if they would
prefer that we call a private ambulance service (like
the one used by FirstMed).

Buda Juniors have teamed up with FirstMed to offer our members
special offers and prices on health care. Members may pick
up FirstMed brochures and flyers at the club. The flyer entitles
your entire family to special prices on selected services
at the clinic:

FirstMed provide free urgent care for members needing medical
attention during a Buda Juniors training session or match.

Ask at training for a Sport Medical form. Then make an appointment
and take the form along with you to the clinic to receive
your discount and get checked out. It couldn't be easier and
will put you and your kids on the road to good sporting health...
